The Professors Lake complex is a 65 acre spring fed lake. It is used extensively for sailing, windsurfing, fishing and non-motorized boats. Other recreational pursuits include the beach, waterslide, volleyball, tennis, playgrounds, a lakeside pathway for walking, bicycling or inline-skating, and ice-skating in the winter. The lake is surrounded by a proud residential community with the City of Brampton Professor\'s Lake Recreation Centre located on the south shore. The Recreation Centre, built in 1982, includes a boathouse, beach, picnic area, food concessions, and meeting rooms.
